Barack Obama wins the Nobel prize on Friday, October 9, 2009. President Obama won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and co-operation between peoples. Also, he won because he did something to help establish some kind of relationship with other countries. The Nobel committee say, "Obama has as president created a new climate in international politics."Also, Nobel director Geir Lundestand says, "We knew the world would be positive, surprised, and some would be stunned."Obama was not the only president that own a Nobel prize, there were three more. President Jimmy Carter, Woodrow Wilson, Theodore Roosevelt won the Nobel prize also. Nobel prize logo can be found on the Nobel prize website.
