CHRISTMAS TIME!!!!

Christmas is my favorite time of the year. Christmas is both a sacred religious holiday and a worldwide cultural and commercial phenomenon. For two millennia, people around the world have been observing it with traditions and practices that are both religious and secular in nature. Christians celebrate Christmas Day as the anniversary of the birth of Jesus of Nazareth, a spiritual leader whose teachings form the basis of their religion. Popular customs include exchanging gifts, decorating Christmas trees, attending church, sharing meals with family and friends and, of course, waiting for Santa Claus to arrive. December 25–Christmas Day–has been a federal holiday in the United States since 1870.
This week was Christmas and I enjoyed it with family and friends. On Christmas Eve, I was in a Christmas Concert. I was in a choir and I had to sing a solo . It was amazing time and I was able to face my fears. On Christmas Day, I spend time with my family and we exchange gifts with each other . This Christmas was the best Christmas I ever had.

Algebra: Factoring a Bionomial

In order to solve a binomial , you have to solve it by using foil. First, Outside, Inside and Last. Here let's solve this binomial:

(4x + 6)(x + 2)

First - multiply the first term in each set of parenthesis: 4x * x = 4x2
First

Outside - multiply the two terms on the outside: 4x * 2 = 8x
Outside

Inside - multiply both of the inside terms: 6 * x = 6x
Inside

Last - multiply the last term in each set of parenthesis: 6 * 2 = 12
Last

Now just add everything together to get 4x2 + 14x + 12. This method only works easily with two binomials. To multiply something complicated like (4x + 6)(5x - 3)(15 - x), just do FOIL on two of the binomials and then distribute the answer onto the remaining binomial.

BOOKSS!!!!! BARNES & NOBLES!!!!!!!!!!

I am currently visiting the website Barnes & Nobles. Barnes & Noble, Inc. is the largest book retailer in the United States operating mainly through its Barnes & Noble Booksellers chain of bookstores headquartered in lower Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. Barnes & Noble is the nation’s top bookseller brand for the sixth year in a row, as determined by a combination of the brand’s performance on familiarity, quality, and purchase intent; the top bookseller in quality for the second year in a row and the number two retailer in trust, according to the EquiTrend Brand Study by Harris Interactive. I wouldn't necessarily recommend Barnes&Noble because their books are expensive. Other companies/stores such as borders and amazon have the same books at a lower more affordable price. However Barnes&Noble is a god place to go to for information for research projects or assignments.

Homecoming

Homecoming is the tradition of welcoming back former residents and alumni of an institution. It most commonly refers to a tradition in many universities, colleges and high schools in North America. It usually includes activities for students and alumni, such as sports and culture events and a parade through the streets of the city or town. Additionally, the term can also refer to the special services conducted by some religious congregations, particularly by many smaller American Protestant churches, that are often held annually but sometimes as one-time-only events, to celebrate church heritage and welcome back former members or pastors. I attended homecoming Friday the 20 of November. It started at 7 pm and end at 11 pm It was an wonderful experience and I hope to go to more upcoming events.

Amazing Precious

Precious was a amazing movie. I related to this move in many different ways. The director was Lee Daniels. The writers were Geoffrey Fletcher (screenplay) and Sapphire(novel). Claireece Precious Jones endures unimaginable hardships in her young life. Abused by her mother, raped by her father, she grows up poor, angr, illiterate, fat, unloved and generally unnoticed. So what better way to learn about her than through her own, halting dialect. This movie was inspiring and dramatical. I love this movie. I can watch it every day And not get tired of it. I recommend teenage student to go out and see this movie.

Thanksgiving Day

I can't wait for Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving Day is a harvest festival. Traditionally, it is a time to give thanks for the harvest and express gratitude in general. It is a holiday celebrated primarily in the United States. While perhaps religious in origin, Thanksgiving is now primarily identified as a secular holiday.Thanksgiving is going to be the best it ever has been. I can't wait to fill up my stomach until it start to hurt. It's going to be a time were we say what we are thankful for. I am thankful for many things in my life.On thanksgiving day, I will be able to spend time with my family. Thanksgiving is going to be live.

This film will be released in theaters on Wednesday, October 28, for two weeks only. I hope each an every one of you, go out and see this movie.

My Picture

Volleyball And Me!!!!!!!

At Benjamin Banneker, I am interest in playing volleyball. I love playing volleyball. Volleyball is an team sport in which two teams of 6 players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. Competitive teams master six basic skills: serve, pass, set, attack, block and dig. Each of these skills comprises a number of specific techniques that have been introduced over the years and are now considered standard practice in high-level volleyball. Volleyball can both simply or difficult. It depends on how skillful your are and how determine you are.Volley ball is an interesting and fun sport and I love playing it.

Just Me !!!!!!!!

My name is Guerlande. I'm am a pretty person and I don't take life for granted. Also, I take advantage of all opportunities that present themselves. I like to be judged on my character and not by the way I look. I have my family and great friends who do a good job at that and I appreciate them for being in my life.. During my free time I like to talk on the phone, watch t.v, go shopping, and hang out with friends. I'm from the United States and I live in Carnise. School is very important to me and I would like to be a pediatrician when I grow up. These are the words that I describe myself as Funny, Beautiful, Patient, Honest, Talkative, and Humble. Although some of these things aren't the best words I know that I need to change some of my ways and the way I live my life as a human being. My life can be fun and crazy at the same time. I guess that makes me who I am.I love my life and I will live life to limit.
